Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
When a name or case number is entered into a search tool on this site, the query is sent to the third-party provider that operates that tool for processing and results. We do not store or log those search terms on our systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
If an email message is sent to us, we retain it to answer the message. It remains within our organization unless disclosure is required by a legal obligation.
Data We Gather Automatically
When a page loads, our servers receive routine technical information about the visit, including:
- The IP address assigned to the device
- The browser and its version
- The device type and operating system
- Pages viewed and time spent on each page
- The referring site, when one is supplied
- Timestamps associated with page views
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small files placed on a device that help measure how visitors use the site, such as page traffic and where visitors leave. Analytics services aggregate that traffic information. Browser controls can block cookies, though some site features may then work differently.
What We Do With This Data
Visitor and technical information may be used for the operational purposes below:
- Operating the site and helping pages load reliably
- Passing a search request to the appropriate partner service
- Reviewing traffic patterns and page usefulness
- Diagnosing and addressing technical problems
- Displaying advertising that may be relevant to visitor interests
No Court-Record Data on File
This private site does not host, maintain, compile, or sell a database of court dockets or personal case-record information. It provides general routing for Todd County court records, which are maintained by the Minnesota Judicial Branch and local Court Administration. Minnesota Rule of Public Access to Records of the Judicial Branch, Rule 8, governs judicial-record inspection and remote-access limits. It is distinct from a private site’s visitor-data practices.
Minn. Stat. § 13.03 addresses government data held by government entities. It may apply to Todd County administrative data, but it does not displace Rule 8 or turn a court file into county-government data. Court records should be routed through MCRO or Todd County Court Administration rather than treated as a private-site database. We are not a consumer reporting agency, and visitor information is not assembled into consumer reports or records about third parties.
Third-Party Search Partners
Search boxes on the site are operated by outside companies. Information entered in those tools is handled under the partner’s privacy policy, not this policy. Those partners determine their own retention and sharing practices, which are outside our control. Review the applicable policy before entering a search.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to court pages, MCRO, clerk and court-administration resources, government pages, legal-aid information, or third-party search tools. Once a visitor leaves this site, the destination’s privacy policy controls. Review that policy before providing personal information.
Some advertising partners may track activity across websites to provide targeted advertising. That activity occurs on their systems, not ours.
Who Might See Your Data
We do not sell personal data. Information can be available to the following categories of recipients:
- Search partners that process searches run through their tools
- Analytics services used to measure traffic and performance
- Advertising networks that place advertising on the site
- Government or law-enforcement bodies when a valid legal order requires disclosure
How We Protect Your Data
We use standard security practices to safeguard collected data. No internet-connected system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee that a breach or other unauthorized access will never occur.
Users Under 18
This site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from people under 18. If a minor’s information has been submitted, it can be requested for deletion through the available contact route.
Your Data Rights
Visitors may request access to information we hold about them, correction of inaccurate information, deletion of information, or an opt out of certain processing. Minn. Stat. § 13.03 supplies public-data rights for records held by government entities, while Rule 8 controls judicial records. Neither source changes the access rules for this private site or gives this site control over an MCRO, court, county, city, or third-party provider record.
- Ask for a copy of information we have about you
- Request correction of inaccurate information
- Request deletion of information
- Opt out of certain data-processing activity
Updates to This Policy
We may revise this privacy policy. A revised version takes effect when it is posted here with a new effective date. Review the policy periodically to remain aware of the practices described above.
Effective date: August 27, 2026
